In this role you will manage a small team of UX Designers building trust and supporting them and their work, whilst helping them to improve. You will lead the way in continuously improving and influencing User Centred Design (UCD) and build strong relationships with stakeholders to grow UCD principals. Amongst this you will use quantitative and qualitative data to create customer journey maps and personas whilst considering the whole user journey and how people interact with it.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced UX Designer with a track record of leading and improving teams. You will need to be able to cement UCD within a company and able to display previously doing this in past roles. You will need to have excellent communication skills and able to work with senior stakeholders. Applying WCAG accessibility standards will be necessary.

The Role:

• Manage a small team of UX Designers, providing support and guidance to enhance their work and foster trust within the team.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in User-Centred Design (UCD) practices.
• Influence and promote UCD principles within the organization, building strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Utilise quantitative and qualitative data to create comprehensive customer journey maps and personas.
• Consider the entirety of the user journey and interactions, ensuring a holistic approach to design.
• Drive the team towards excellence in UX design through mentorship and collaboration.

The Person:

• Experienced UX Designer with a proven track record of leading and enhancing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and solidify User-Centred Design (UCD) principles within organisations.
• Strong communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders.
• Proficient in applying WCAG accessibility standards to design processes and products.
• Track record of successfully integrating accessibility considerations into UX design.
• Able to provide concrete examples from past roles of implementing UCD principles and improving team performance.
