OneFile, a Harris Computer company, are currently recruiting an UX Designer to join the team on as permanent basis. The position will be performed on a hybrid basis, between the successful incumbents home address and the OneFile Manchester city centre office.
The UX Designer will work with the Product Management team to translate business requirements into concepts and user experience design across OneFile’s product range and mobile apps. You will collaborate with the Software Development Manager and Development Squads. The UX designer will research, analyse, map out and test the entire journey, from start to finish. They will manage the process of designing wireframes, mock-ups and user journeys. Prototyping new functionality and demonstrating the ideal user journey to the customer and internal teams to gain feedback. Working in coordination with product owners to use the insights gained to strategize and for developers to create the user interfaces.
In performing this role, your core duties and responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:
· Creating high-quality mock-ups
· Creating workable prototypes
· Creating user flows and user journeys
· Undertaking UX Research on (1), (2) and (3) above, to feedback into the software development lifecycle
· Collaborating with teams/squads
· Analysing and mapping customer requirements
The knowledge and skills that we are seeking include:
· Good visual communication
· Creativity
· Understanding of User Experience Design
· Interaction design
· Understanding of Human-centred Design
· Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
· Experience using wireframe tools e.g. Figma
