About the Team:
Keysight Eggplant helps businesses to test, monitor and analyze their end-to-end customer experience across different interfaces, platforms, browsers, and devices — including mobile, IoT, and desktop — in agile, DevOps, and innovative application and data environments.
Eggplant’s customers use Eggplant suites to assure the quality of their applications through UI test automation. Eggplant’s Test Studio team is building the next generation of Eggplant’s Integrated Development Environment (IDE), via an extension to Visual Studio Code.
About the Job:
We are seeking a UX Designer for the Eggplant Test Studio team, to take on a pivotal role in shaping the user experience of Eggplant’s Test Studio, our next-generation IDE for our flagship test automation product. As a creative thinker, problem solver, and passionate advocate for user-centered design, you will be member of our agile product team, where your skills will be valued, and your contributions will make a meaningful difference in the next-generation test automation software. You will collaborate with our customers and product teams to create intuitive, user-centered designs for our products.
Responsibilities:
- UI Design: Creating UI designs, starting with early concepts and wireframes, followed by high-fidelity prototypes within the constraints of the VS Code visual design language.
- User Research: Conducting user research, persona development, mental model analysis, and task flow analysis to inform the design of new products.
- Information Architecture: Designing UI navigation and information architecture, defining UI patterns, interactions, and UX writing to enhance usability.
- Usability Enhancement: Designing for usability, making complex tasks and workflows more intuitive and efficient while meeting human factors, usability, and functional requirements, and adhering to visual design and UI standards.
- Interactive Prototyping: Creating interactive UI prototypes for critical workflows to facilitate usability evaluations.
- Iterative Design: Planning and conducting UI concept reviews, walkthroughs, and usability evaluations in an iterative design process.
- Usability Testing: Planning and conducting usability tests and providing detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners and developers, to bring designs to life.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in UX design.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum advanced, preferably expert level of UX Design experience with a focus on user-centered design for complex products.
- An aptitude for understanding customer use cases with leading-edge technology; experience in software test automation is a plus.
- Knowledge of human information processing and user behavior, grounded in cognitive psychology and usability principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in all aspects of user-centered design, including persona development, conceptual design, task flow analysis, UI architecture, global navigation, interaction design, iterative UI design, and formal usability testing.
- Experience planning, leading, and coordinating UX design and usability activities at a project level.
- A commitment to advocating for UX, influencing design for usability, and negotiating priorities within project constraints.
- Proficiency with UI design wireframe and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Zeplin, Axure, Figma, or others.
- The ability to plan and conduct usability evaluations and tests, and to provide reports with actionable recommendations.
- A working knowledge of human factors, including design considerations for color vision impairments.
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced environment of agile software development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with domain experts, development teams, and stakeholders.

- Knowledge about the test automation market and test automation software products.
- Experience with VS Code UX guidelines.
- Experience with continuous delivery.
- Knowledge of WCAG compliance and recommendations
- Knowledge of internationalization impact on UX
