Job Introduction
As the General Manager for Unity Place, your overall purpose is to help bring to life our shared commitment: - ‘Creating exceptional experiences at Unity Place for tenants, stakeholders and the local community.
It is imperative that Unity Place is positioned for success in attracting the desired target audiences to experience the various outlets and event spaces, adding value to all stakeholders within Unity Place and raising the bar on guest experiences within the visitor attraction and workplace sectors.
You will be providing a professional catering service across a large contract, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met. As the Deputy Account Manager, you will enjoy getting the best out of people, you draw satisfaction from managing, training and supporting your team whilst delivering value to your employer.
Overall, Purpose of the Role
- To be accountable for all C&E operations from point of enquiry – delivery – invoice – retention.
- To ensure all FOH (including C&E, Retail and Food Service) personnel are recruited with the right skill set, to be rostered to be in the right place, at the right time
- To ensure all FOH (including C&E, Retail and Food Service) personnel are trained and that their training is recorded either through the E-Learning platform or by on the job records.
- To be the lieutenant on the floor to ensure standards are maintained across all areas.
- To be responsible for the overall efficient and effective management of the contract to ensure great quality, consistent food and beverage services
- To maintain positive client relationships ensuring we are true partners in their business
- Deputise for the Account Manager
You will ensure that your location achieves the financial targets agreed with the client in line with your site budget. Working with your Account Manager you will monitor the work of all the staff and carry out appraisals, identify training needs and ensuring we are meeting the standards required by the client.
As a team you will ensure that customers are given a prompt and efficient service and that their food service and value expectations are consistently exceeded. Making sure all Food Safety, Health and Safety and Risk Assessments are conducted to ensure that all standards and procedures in respect of Food, Hygiene and Safety are established and maintained.
Who you are:
As the Deputy Account Manager, you will ideally have a successful background in Contract Catering/Hospitality/Retail Catering, using your entrepreneurial skills to create a thriving and successful working environment. You possess excellent management and communication skills, have a good understanding of report writing and financial management, and be able to demonstrate your analytical approach to problem solving. You will have the ability to display a real passion for food and customer service and be financially and commercially astute.
