Overview of the role

We are looking for a Pharmacist Manager to lead the Pharmacy team and to make a real difference at our pharmacy based in Sunderland.

The Pharmacy: The pharmacy is based in the city centre with a health centre across the road. The local area is quite coastal with a mixture of elder and younger patients.

This has a great potential to grow the business. has the potential to do more services. pharmacy also has an MDS room upstairs so has plenty room to take things like care homes and tray patients on.

Services Provided - Flu, covid, NMS, BP, AMBP, pharmacy 1st, contraception, minor ailments, substance misuse

Items - Aprox 10,000 per month currently with potential for more. includes MDS, care homes, substance misuse

Facilities such as staff room, car park, access to public transport? Staff room, parking at the back of the shop

Trading hours - 9am - 6pm Mon- fri plus one in two Saturdays

Number of care home and beds? Two care homes

Number of community blisters? 100

Number of substance misuse patients? 6

Relationship with surgery? Good

Does it have a separate MDS room? Yes

The Team:  5 including one trainee and an ACT. staff are trained for all areas. they currently take students from the university as well.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is required for this opportunity.

You'll be focussed on leading your team to deliver the best community pharmacy experience for your patients and customers.

You'll be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You’ll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits

We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.

We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we’ve put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
