What you’ll do
As a leader in the sector digitally transforming services, Notting Hill Genesis recognises the importance of Data in achieving its vision. Our Data Governance and Performance Team has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to provide expertise and guidance in the management, configuration, and optimisation of Microsoft Purview across the organisation.
 
How you’ll do it
The Project Manager will establish and maintain the NHG data catalogue, providing transparency into available data assets, data flows, their lineage, usage, and adding context through curated pages of content with artefact. In addition, the role will be responsible for programmes of work ensuring take up and understanding of policies regarding Data Loss, maintaining DLP technology, configuring policies, and compiling reports for analytics, highlighting reports and risk for mitigation. Your work will support the drive of NHG towards becoming a data led decision making organisation and will play a central role in the data transformation programme.

Main responsibilities include:
  • Oversee implementation and roll out of the Data Loss Prevention and Data Cataloguing tools, ensuring alignment across both
  • Gain buy in from the business on importance, building up good use of the data catalogue and its sources and understanding of the need to address Data Loss issues as a priority
  • Develop and mentor a team who can successfully develop DLP and DC and who have the right stakeholder management and technical skills
  • Oversee and implement for DC, labelling, applying sensitivities, data classfiers, data lineage, structure and reporting and maintain to a high standard building on metadata to support NHG use and efficiency
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the data catalogue, fully exploiting all features and maintaining an awareness of new features, ready to use them. Ensure the catalogue is up to date and removing unused/dormant/outdated articles and data sources is part of the teams work in business as usual
  • Facilitate where required source system data quality remediation, working with the relevant staff and SMEs to drive through necessary actions.
  • Oversee and implement for DLP ability to scan the NHG environment and report on issues, ensuring a clear process to mitigate and report
  • Present reports on capability and risk to relevant internal stakeholders, including the Audit & Risk committee

Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.
 
The successful candidate will have strong data skills and experience in Data Loss Prevention and Data Cataloguing projects. Data skills will be accompanied by an ability to communicate persuasively and effectively at all levels at NHG. This role requires excellent communication skills and understanding of people, change, and what we do (business and commercial).
