Vaccines Account Manager – UK

In this exciting new role, you will work closely with a high performing matrix team and to reduce health inequalities that arise from vaccine preventable diseases by supporting the increased uptake of national immunisation programmes, aligned to national guidance. You will have responsibility for the identification, external engagement, development, operational delivery, risk management and governance requirements of Vaccination service offers and activities.

You will partner with Primary Care stakeholders to ensure adult immunisation is prioritised and to identify the barriers and opportunities for successful implementation and work closely to support the most effective tailored implementation plan.

This role will suit an individual with a desire to make a positive impact on patient outcomes across a large footprint and an ability to tailor their interactions with NHS decision makers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effective and timely deployment of services within the NHS at scale
  • Highly effective engagement and partnership working with the required level of NHS management (from GP practice level to LHE population decision maker and above)
  • Creation and approval of required documentation at all stages of project delivery, working closely with internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsibility for the appropriate code compliant development and deployment of services ensuring that appropriate measures and KPIs are in place and track the progress and success of projects during and after implementation
  • Take Personal accountability for expert knowledge of vaccination understanding (including vaccine preventable disease and national immunisation programmes), and specific understanding of service offer area including associated legal requirements
  • Focus on ensuring clear and appropriate separation between promotional and non-promotional interactions and adherence to all required ways of working aligned to this
  • Project management of ongoing services with suppliers and including contract management

Experience required:

  • Expert Knowledge of the evolving NHS (and the processes that exist within it, to ensure projects are implemented appropriately, and new services are developed in line with NHS strategy, and unmet patient need
  • Experience of successful partnership working at all levels, including with senior management, within the NHS
  • Experience of working and engaging cross-functionally including but not limited to; Medical, Legal, Safety, Compliance and Commercial
  • Ability to complete supplier engagement and management activities
  • Good understanding of current relevant NHS policy and strategy
  • Understanding of NHS systems and processes
  • Project Management skills, including the ability to implement, monitor and review projects
  • Prior experience in the Immunisation therapy area desirable
