Position: Valuation Surveyor
Salary: Up to £50,000 plus bonus + benefits
Location: Birmingham, flexible hybrid available
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Birmingham based Valuation Department as a Surveyor to deliver a high standard of valuation reporting and advice to a variety of clients, most notably: leading lending institutions and large public sector organisations.
Whilst the role will predominantly focus on the preparation of reports and valuation advice for clients, you will also help to develop client relationships and engage in business development events, as appropriate.
The role offers a great prospect for promotion within a well-regarded Practice and high performing and growing department.
About you
- Candidates should be a Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer.
- Knowledge of developments in legislation and regulations.
- Able to analyse and interpret market data and financial reports.
- Strong written communication skills to prepare clear and concise valuation reports that can be easily understood by clients and stakeholders.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate complex property situations and assess the impact of various factors on property values.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on industry trends, valuation methods, and best practices.
- Able to work collaboratively with other professionals to gather relevant information and insights.
- Work well both independently and within a small team.
About the role
- Undertake inspections of residential and commercial property throughout the Midlands and East Midlands in support of providing valuation advice.
- Prepare valuation reports for secured lending and financial reporting purposes.
- To help manage and train graduate members of staff that are pursuing the APC
- Formulate professional advice and valuation opinion concerning a wide range of property types.
- Have a comprehensive understanding of the RICS and legal requirements associated with providing valuation reporting.
- To ensure customer care is a priority at all times and every effort is made to manage client expectations and deliver against agreed deadlines.
