SalaryOur client is a successful and well-established company. They are looking for several Vehicle Assembly Operative / Vehicle Assembler / Mechanical Fitters to join their highly reputable company. This is a permanent role (after the usual 3 months probationary period).
Salary £12.08 per hour + overtime paid at an enhanced rate.
Available shifts (depending on availability):
NOTE: You will be allocated a main shift pattern, however you will need to be flexible to cover the other shifts too, so flexibility is a requirement:
- Days Only Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7.30am 4.30pm (12.30pm finish on Fridays) (No shift allowance on this shift, basic hourly rate only)
- Early & Late shift pattern: Monday to Friday, 6.00am 3.00pm / 2.00pm 11.00pm, rotating weekly (includes a 12% shift allowance)
This role would suit someone with a background in Vehicle / Automotive Assembly, e.g. Coach Builder / Motorhome Builder / Auto Mechanic / Fabrication Operative / Fabricator / Bench Joiner / Mechanical Fitter / Car Mechanic / or anyone who is used to working with hand and power tools, that can follow diagrams and technical instructions with precision.
General Duties:
- Assembly of vehicles, and installation of vehicle parts by following instructions
- Using hand tools, power tools and sealants
- Ensuring that work is carried out to a high standard
- Working within the health & safety guidelines
- Working in line with Company standards and H&S requirements
Requirements:
- Vehicle assembly experience will definitely be an advantage
- Experience using hand and power tools in an assembly role
- Be mechanically minded
- Reliable and hard-working
- Eye for detail
