Location: Slough

Salary: Between £30,000 to £35,000 per year

45 hours/week permanent contract, Monday to Friday. 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Job Description:

• Undertake the inspection of damaged vehicles, assessing the full extent of the damage, costs of repair and timeframes
• Communicate with clients to provide repair information and an indication of completion time
• Compile all relevant information and complete supporting documentation
• Identify the correct prescribed repair method, prepare, and maintain records of electronic and manual estimates.
• Monitor progress of the vehicle through the repair process and identify opportunities for additional repair work
• Liaise with client-side teams and work providers to obtain their authority to repair the vehicle at the costs estimated.
• Liaise with customers and technicians to explain and ensure they understand the repair methodology.
• Compile proper documentation of completed repair work for the purpose of tracking and invoicing.
• Identify and order vehicle parts.
• Work with and build relationships with both suppliers and work providers.
• Build great working relationships with technicians to offer technical support.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Previous experience working as a Vehicle Damage Assessor within a busy body shop is preferred
• You will work to the highest standard and demonstrate a sound up-to-date knowledge of vehicle repair techniques
• Be a strong team player with a self-motivation to earn bonus hours
• Ideally you are an advanced user of Audatex and have an understanding of insurance repairs
• You have a recognised apprenticeship as a VDA or have gained a technical qualification (such as an NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, or ATA)
