Vehicle Technician Kidlington, Oxfordshire £30,000-£45,000 PA Our client is a well-established company specializing in vehicle maintenance and repair. Their purpose-built workshop houses a dedicated team of professionals who work on a variety of vehicles, including Mercedes Sprinters, VW Crafters, and VW Transporters. Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Vehicle Technician to join their team. As a key member of the maintenance crew, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of their fleet. Responsibilities Perform vehicle servicing according to company policies. Conduct maintenance inspections and repairs, adhering to both company and DVSA standards. Prepare and present vehicles for MOTs. Diagnose vehicle faults and recommend appropriate repair methods. Maintain accurate records and complete paperwork promptly. Order parts in alignment with company guidelines. Maintain a tidy workshop and organise tools and equipment. Assist with on-road vehicle breakdowns. Conduct road testing to identify defects or verify successful repairs. Prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Adhere to Health and Safety policies and safe working practices. Experience and Qualities NVQ Level 3 in vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics (or equivalent). Minimum 5 years of industry experience in both mechanical and electrical systems. Desirable welding experience (though not essential). Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and maintain focus. Positive "can-do" attitude. Remuneration and Hours: Full-time position (40 - 45 hours per week, including breaks). Overtime available during busy periods. £30,000-£45,000 DOE. Additional training opportunities.
