Vehicle Technician Required in Chatham, Kent

• Basic Salary up to £40,000
• Independent Garage
• 08:00 - 17:30 Mon – Fri
• No Weekends!

Our client, an Established Independent Garage based in the Chatham area.  They are currently seeking a Vehicle Technician to join their expanding team. They offer a customer-centric approach, and an excellent service to their clients across Chatham, Medway & Gillingham.
They are a well-run, friendly team, with a busy workshop which has been trading for over 30 years, with a 4.5-star rating on Google and a member of the good garage scheme, our client is a fantastic organisation to work with.  
They are currently seeking an all-rounder, who will be responsible for performing services and general maintenance and repairs. You will also be responsible for any necessary diagnosis and fault-finding. They have 7 fully operation vehicle ramps, including a large vehicle ramp, 2 MOT testing lanes & a workshop pit for long wheel-based high top light commercial vehicles. 
Our client is happy to accept applications from Vehicle Technicians with all levels of experience, but ideally seeking either time-served of level 2 & 3 qualified Vehicle Technicians with workshop experience.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician with our Client:

• Carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance to a high standard
• Conducting vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
• Completing work within the given timeframes and to a high standard
• Maintaining accurate records of all work completed
• Participating in manufacturer training programs to further develop your skills.
• Adhering to health and safety regulations

What our client expects of their Vehicle Technician:

• Previous motor trade experience within a Vehicle Technician role or similar is essential.
• An MOT Testing licence would be favourable but not essential.
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to keep technical knowledge updated to provide the most efficient service possible.
• The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team,
• Confidence in problem solving.
• Full UK Driving Licence. – Preferably Clean
