Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
Location: Smethwick, West Midlands
Salary: £30k - £36k + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Full-Time, Monday - Friday (40 Hours)
The Client:
Our client is a trusted family business offering MOT testing for cars and motorcycles, along with servicing, repairs, welding, and air conditioning maintenance.
The Role:
As a Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester, you will play a pivotal role in conducting vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics.
Candidates without MOT Tester qualifications would be considered if they possess expertise in timing belts and clutches.
Responsibilities:
* Perform MOT testing duties.
* Accurately record all hours and material usage.
* Maintain communication with supervisor regarding work progress.
* Utilise knowledge and skills to conduct vehicle testing and diagnose faults.
* Participate in ongoing training to enhance expertise.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the work area.
Requirements:
* Previously worked as a Vehicle Technician or in a similar role.
* Proven experience in vehicle servicing and repairs.
* Possess NVQ Level 3 qualification / diploma in light vehicle maintenance.
* Strong communication skills.
* Hold a MOT testers licence.
* Valid UK driving licence.
