Our client is currently recruiting for a Ventilation Engineer to join their busy installation team in Newport.
You must be hard-working, enthusiastic and willing to go that extra mile to provide the first-class customer care they provide to their clients. Starting out you will have a 3-month induction and training package giving you the correct knowledge and skills to competently install their ventilation products to the highest standard.
Job Profile:
As aVentilation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of various products within social housing and private properties, which combat and prevent mould and condensation.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Installing our own domestic ventilation products across social housing and private clients.
- Complete basic mould treatment and decoration as needed.
- Carry out IRR, (Inspect, Repair, Replace) service to existing ventilation products in social housing and domestic properties.
- Provide a high level of customer care and diplomacy.
- Manage stock levels to ensure you have the right product to complete the job within set expectations.
- Ensure kit and vehicle are kept in good condition; safe to use and suitable to carry out the works required.
- Sign fit sheets, take before & after photographs & undertake electrical certificates.
- Complete work in a safe manner in accordance with risk assessments and method statements
- Work closely with the scheduling team to manage status of works.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Full clean UK driving licence essential
- Competent in electrical installations
- 17th/18th edition qualified and hold a domestic electrical installers certificate or equivalent
- Competent in the use of core drills.
- Competent with sealed unit (glass) installs.
- Good general trade skills involved in installation of ventilation fans, PPS, PIV’s, HRU’s, Duct work etc.
- Practical domestic trade skills
- Basic IT skills computer/tablet literate.
- General awareness of health and safety practices.
- Familiar with working within a high-performance culture
- Tenacious, with attention to detail and dedicated to getting the job done
- Common sense approach to problem solving
- Flexible and adaptable to evolving business needs
- 2 years electrical experience - preferable
- City & Guilds Level 2 or Level 3, or domestic installer qualification
- Effective Interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to customer care
Additional Requirements: (desirable)
- NVQ L3, Inspection and testing and JIB (Electrician status) - advantageous
- Part P test and inspect qualified
- Experience with MEV products
