About the role

You will be responsible for arranging and monitoring all arrivals and sailings by DFDS and third-party vessels including customs clearance whilst completing an apprenticeship in International Freight Forwarding Level 3.

• Working Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm

• Ensure that arrangements for ships’ berthings and sailings do not cause any unnecessary delays
• Inform and update other relevant departments of berthing, working, and sailing schedules, using verbal and written methods of communication.
• Carry out all pre-arrival and post sailing function to issue and check all documentation.
• Inform relevant internal departments of all arrivals, berthings and sailings. • Liaise with Pilotage authorities to ensure that all pilotage requirements and standards are met.

You must be a self-driven individual with an open mind and willing to learn. We are looking for someone who is ambitious and able to work on their own initiative as well as being a part of our Vessel & Port Services team.
