We have 2 sites one located on the edge of Newton Abbot and the other located in Torquay, Devon, perfectly placed between Dartmoor and the South Devon Coastline - ideal for long winter walks on the stunning moors or lazy sunshine days on sandy beaches.The M5 Motorway is just minutes away from the practice, as is the train station, with direct trains to Exeter, Bristol, London and into Cornwall.
We are part of a group of close-knit PSS accredited practices and have been established both independently and as part of a group for well over 30 years.
The Practice
Our team of vets, are supported by 3 RVN’s, 1 SVN and a fabulous reception team, all led by our hard-working Practice Manager who is on hand to support everyone. Our nurses are highly experienced and cover nurse consults, pharmacy, lab, kennel and theatre work. They also assist the vets in practice to maximise patient care and client support opportunities.We see a wide variety of cases, with referrals available to South Devon Veterinary Hospital for 24-hour in-patient care and Referral Surgeons. You will have access to a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment including our medical grade CT Scanner, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Digital x-ray & Digital dental x-ray & a comprehensive range of Orthopaedic, Ophthalmic and Laparoscopy kit.
The Role
We are ideally looking for a Vet with experience who would be able to shape their own caseload and offer leadership, guidance & development to the clinical team, whilst working closely with the Senior Vet and Group Practice Director to promote clinical best practice across both of our sites.We are looking for a full-time vet, but will consider part-time/flexible hours for the right candidate. There are 1 in 6 Saturday mornings on a rota basis and we operate an on-call rota to support our own hospital In-patients only.
