About us
Due to an upcoming retirement, we are looking for an experienced Small Animal vet to join Greenside Vets. We are fortunate to have a wonderful team at Greenside Vets and any new associate joining us would be warmly welcomed.
The vet team comprised of 10 vets split across Small Animal, farm animal and our regenerative medicine service. We also have 10 RVNs to support the vets, 4 student RVNS and 2 PCAs along with an excellent team of reception and support staff.
As veterinary professionals we value the ability to enjoy our working days together and are very supportive of each other. We have team members with lots of different interests and fully support ongoing study. We have vets who hold further qualifications including an Internal Medicine certificate holder, a DBR holder and nurses also studying for further qualifications.
Greenside Vets is a mixed practice that provides a high-quality first opinion companion animal service and has a solid farm animal base. Our main site is well equipped with all the usual gadgets; DR x-ray, ultrasound, full in-house laboratory suite and endoscopy. At Greenside we also have a standalone purpose-built rehabilitation and stem cell referral unit which includes a hydrotherapy underwater treadmill and qualified veterinary physiotherapists within the team. This is the only one of its kind in Scotland and presents a huge opportunity to benefit our clients and their pets.
The practice is based in St Boswells in the stunning Scottish Borders, which is only 50 minutes from Edinburgh and an hour from Newcastle; all the access but without the price tag for property and with a wealth of amazing outdoor pursuits on your doorstep. We are fortunate enough to be able to bring our dogs to work and have a beautiful local walk along the River Tweed to enjoy!
Don’t just take our word for it
Rebecca joined us in February 2022 as we have had a baby boom here at Greenside, she says:
“It’s honestly the best practice I’ve ever been to, including for EMS. Everyone is so nice and supportive, I genuinely couldn’t believe it was true at first. Literally, everyone asks everyone else for help with no shame or being made to feel lacking, from new grads to the clinical directors. And don’t forget the regular socializing outside of work, the parties are legendary but also you’re not made to feel left out if you’re not into that and instead want to wait to hear the stories the following week.”
We would love to hear from you, please contact morven.coutts@greensidevetpractice.co.uk if you have any questions about the role or to apply, please complete the application form below.
