Macclesfield FC is a Club with deeply engrained roots – both within the local community and the prestigious surrounding areas.
Originally formed in 1874, The Silkmen were evocatively reborn in 2020 under the stewardship of successful businessman Robert Smethurst and former Premier League and Welsh international footballer Robbie Savage.
Over £4m has been invested in the Club over the course of the last two years and there can be no doubt that Macclesfield FC is one of the fastest-growing clubs in the country.
Winning the North West Counties Football League – Premier Division by a staggering fifteen points in April 2022 and being the subject of a BBC documentary that has received over three million views, Macclesfield FC has unquestionably captured the imagination of the entire nation.
The club are now looking for a passionate and keen-to-learn Video and Content Creator Apprentice to join their dynamic marketing team.
Key responsibilities would include (but not be limited to):

• Lead in the production of video & photographic content on and off the football pitch
• Assist with other video projects as and when required
• Contribute to a video content strategy, business media strategy and communications strategy
• Assist with the Club’s social media output
• Work with colleagues in other departments at the Club to create video that can be used internally and externally
• Work to create compelling media assets for Macclesfield FC’s online properties.
• Leverage multiple technologies based on creative skills to produce multimedia assets such as product videos, live virtual presentations, motion graphic animations etc.
• Execute and oversee numerous creative deliverables, ensuring high-quality output, for multiple video & photographic initiatives in a busy, fast-paced environment.

You can work primarily based in the Club's office in Salford, but local and national (and occasionally international) travel will be required to attend matches and other events. This will involve frequent weekend and evening work, so you must be prepared for flexible working hours. Because of the travel, a driving license is essential for this role.

Training to be provided
The Juice Academy is a digital marketing Academy based in Castlefield, Manchester. They train up to 80 apprentices a year, whilst the apprentices work with businesses around the North West (and sometimes further afield!). The training is delivered by industry professionals from their sister company, Tangerine Communications. The Juice Academy training sessions are a hybrid of face-to-face learning within the academy in Castlefield, and online delivery via Zoom. Apprentices will also receive the on the job training in the workplace. The final three months of the course will be the ‘assessment period’ during which apprentices are expected to produce a portfolio of work and complete a series of assessments. Full digital marketing training to be provided on-the-job and off-the-job. The Juice Academy partner with Apprentify, who support apprentices in the workplace through development coaching.
The qualification will include:

• Level 3 Content Creator

Successful candidates will be invited to a second stage, where you will complete several assessments, including Maths & English. If these results are successful, your application will be sent to the employer who will shortlist for interviews. If your interview is successful, you will be expected to start in the workplace in March. Please mark clearly on your application if you will be unavailable to start on this date and we will consider you for future selection days.

• Please note: For the first year, you will be paid a minimum salary of £14,000 - £18,000. Thereafter, your pay will be increased to at least the National Minimum Wage for your age. All salaries are set at the employers’ discretion; however, this will be the minimum you will receive.
