The Our Town Hall (OTH) project encompasses the refurbishment and restoration of the Grade I listed Neo-Gothic masterpiece designed by Alfred Waterhouse, opened in 1877, and the redevelopment of the adjacent public realm including Albert Square. The building is in the top 2% of Grade 1 listed buildings. The project is due for completion in 2024.
Lendlease is the appointed Management Contractor, with DGP Logistics required to liaise directly with the Employer, Manchester City Council regarding key logistics interfaces with the adjacent (and connected) operational council offices.
Job description.
As a Content Creator Apprentice, your job responsibilities would include (but not be limited to):
  • Brainstorming new and creative ideas
  • Researching, planning and developing content ideas
  • Innovating and presenting new content, digital and social media strategies
  • Implementing and supporting content marketing strategies including social media, website, blog, SEO and more
  • Driving traffic to company pages
  • Developing engaging online content including videos, graphics, and written copy
  • Uploading and editing content on company websites
  • Measuring and reporting performance of content and digital marketing campaigns, assessing against goals, using relevant sites such as Google Analytics
  • Keeping abreast of new social media sites, technologies, and digital marketing trends and insights; implementing these new technologies and insights in developing campaigns
You will be required to work from the Manchester Town Hall site 3 days a week, working from home the rest of the time, apart from the bi-weekly full day training sessions in The Juice Academy.

Training to be provided
The Juice Academy is a digital marketing Academy based in Castlefield, Manchester. They train up to 80 apprentices a year, whilst the apprentices work with businesses around the North West (and sometimes further afield!). The training is delivered by industry professionals from their sister company, Tangerine Communications. The Juice Academy training sessions are a hybrid of face-to-face learning within the academy in Castlefield, and online delivery via Zoom. Apprentices will also receive the on the job training in the workplace. The final three months of the course will be the ‘assessment period’ during which apprentices are expected to produce a portfolio of work and complete a series of assessments. Full digital marketing training to be provided on-the-job and off-the-job. The Juice Academy partner with Apprentify, who support apprentices in the workplace through development coaching.
The qualification will include:
  • Level 3 Content Creator

Successful candidates will be invited to a second stage, where you will complete several assessments, including Maths & English. If these results are successful, your application will be sent to the employer who will shortlist for interviews. If your interview is successful, you will be expected to start in the workplace in March. Please mark clearly on your application if you will be unavailable to start on this date and we will consider you for future selection days.
  • Please note: For the first year, you will be paid a minimum salary of £15,000. Thereafter, your pay will be increased to at least the National Minimum Wage for your age. All salaries are set at the employers’ discretion; however, this will be the minimum you will receive.
