AddressWe’re looking for a driven Virtual Engineering Manager to join our Product Development team at Agratas.
Reporting into the Head of Systems Engineering you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a dynamic team responsible for high voltage battery pack development. This role is critical for ensuring the successful execution of Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) activities, encompassing Finite Element (FE) analysis, durability assessment, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) testing, crash simulations, performance evaluations, and thermal analysis. By leveraging cutting-edge Virtual Engineering tools and methodologies, the Virtual Engineering Manager drives innovation and efficiency, ultimately contributing to the development of robust and high-performance battery systems for electric vehicles.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Virtual Engineering team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Define clear goals, priorities, and expectations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of CAE activities for high voltage battery pack development projects. Develop comprehensive project plans, monitor progress, and mitigate risks to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert in Virtual Engineering methodologies and tools related to FE analysis, durability assessment, EMC testing, crash simulations, performance evaluations, and thermal analysis. Provide guidance and support to team members in resolving complex technical challenges.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience in Virtual Engineering, CAE, or related roles within the automotive industry, with a focus on high voltage battery pack development.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including team management, project planning, and strategic decision-making.
- In-depth knowledge of Virtual Engineering tools and methodologies, such as finite element analysis (FEA), computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and electromagnetic simulation software.
- Strong understanding of battery system architecture, performance metrics, and safety requirements in electric vehicles.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within a Virtual Engineering environment.
- Experience with quality assurance processes and standards for Virtual Engineering simulations.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as ANSYS, Abaqus, LS-DYNA, MATLAB, and Simulink.
