Visitor Services Officer (Ra Solar Trip Boat Skipper Hoveton)Salary GBP23,500 - GBP23,893 pro rata per annumGrade BFixed Term Seasonal ContractThe working pattern is set out belowThe purpose of the role is to skipper the Broads Authority's solar powered electric Trip Boat on the river Bure at Hoveton, providing a commentary to visitors. In addition, there is a requirement to provide lunchtime cover at the Hoveton visitor information centre, giving a flexible and comprehensive information service.The successful candidate will need good knowledge of the Broads and its wildlife. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to communicate verbally with a wide range of people in a warm and friendly manner. Good boat handling skills/experience (RYA Powerboat level 2 desirable) are required to operate the Ra (training will be given) and IT skills to use a computer and computerised tills.
