Visitor Team Coordinator
£24,248 to £25,742 pro rata per annum, depending on relevant experience + Additional 6% Shift Payment due to working flexibly across 7 days

Manchester Museum is recruiting for a permanent Visitor Team Coordinator to lead and support our Visitor Team Assistants, welcome our visitors, and ensure day to day operations run smoothly.
Since we reopened in February 2023, we have welcome over a million visitors! It's the Visitor team's role to welcome lots of different people from Manchester and beyond, hear their stories, and tell our own. You will play a key role in promoting our mission to build a more sustainable world and better understanding between cultures and our values, to be the most inclusive, caring, and imaginative museum our visitors might encounter.
As a Visitor Team Coordinator, you will provide daily duty management across a 7 day rota, ensuring our galleries and visitors are safe, our Visitor Team Assistants are prepared for the day ahead through informative daily briefings and organised weekly rotas and be an adaptable problem solver.
Even if you haven't worked within the Museum sector, if you have experience of duty management and leading a customer or visitor facing team, are an excellent problem solver, care deeply about people, our kinship with other species, and our collections we want to hear from you.
This is an operational role; therefore, it requires someone who is flexible to work between Monday and Sunday, mornings, evenings, bank holidays and university closure day in accordance to our opening hours. Shifts will fall typically between 7am and 10pm, staff will be consulted with should shifts be required beyond these times.
