Voice Over Ip Engineer - Accessibility Specialist

Our client is looking to hire a Voice over IP Engineer - Accessibility Specialist for approximately 12 months

Hybrid working - Initially onsite 2 days per week

A Voice over IP Engineer is required to be responsible for updating, administering, maintaining, configuring and developing Voice Systems and Gateways.

You will use your knowledge and experience to ensure that the voice networking services are configured securely, highly available and performant. Working with internal Product Management teams you will further develop the voice systems to meet availability.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical skills with a consultative approach to work within a team of engineers ensuring services are integrated, delivered and operated to a high standard.

Key Accountabilities:

• Work within a specialised team to develop, support and maintain the organisation’s Voice Networks and connections (internal and external) and links to video capability.
• Proactively monitor the gateways to identify security, performance and capacity issues.
• Document processes, configuration and known fixes to develop a shared knowledge base.
• Respond to Service Desk Incident and Request tickets within defined SLA’s.
• Use Jira to plan and note progress of project deliverables, estimate resources and record risks.
• Inform the roadmap of the private cloud offering by working with vendors and 3rd parties to establish upgrade paths and end of support milestones.
