Job description

Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for an OCW Coordinator to join our team based 
in Cheadle, Greater Manchester. You will join us on a full-time basis on 1-year fixed-term contract. In 
return, you will receive a competitive salary.
Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, 
sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.
As OCW Coordinator, the successful candidate will play an integral role in assisting the Head of OCW in 
the implementation and administration of Human Appeal’s orphan sponsorship programme. This 
includes streamlining all sponsorship custom-related systems and reporting such as Sales Force, DMS, 
PMS and the unique Orphans Online Portal, maintaining up-to-date documentation and close 
communication with HQ Departments, HA Regional Offices, Field and Local Partner offices, working 
closely with other internal desks such as the Communications and Donor Care departments, as well as 
providing operational support to the Head of OCW. This is all in order to enhance donor engagement to 
improve acquisition and retention of donors and ultimately maximise income and increase beneficiary 
outreach.
We are ideally looking to appoint somebody immediately to this role.

Key duties and responsibilities of the OCW Coordinator include:

  • Maintenance and administration of the Orphans Sponsorship Programme,
  • Ensuring all required systems, tools and documentation are in place for the smooth running of 
  • the OCW Programme,
  • Maintaining regular and strong communication channels with Human Appeal Regional Offices 
  • and internal departments including Systems Team, Communications, Donor Care, Finance and 
  • Fundraising to ensure the promotion and smooth running of the Orphan Sponsorship 
  • Programme
  • Achieving year on year increases in the acquisition and retention of donors to the Orphans 
  • Sponsorship Programme

What we’re looking for in our OCW Coordinator include:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, data verification, and database management.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and its data structure is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel and Word.
