Volunteer Coordinator

Adecco Public Sector are proud to be working in partnership with a customer centric and proactive housing provider to recruit a Volunteer Coordinator on a permanent basis.

Part time, 3 days per week

Based in London, hybrid working available (1 day per week in the office)

Salary: £36,000k pro rata

This is a truly exciting opportunity to promote, coordinate and develop high quality volunteering programmes across the organisation.

As the Volunteer Coordinator you will be instrumental in establishing and delivering a volunteer strategy to increase the use of volunteers across the business as well as increasing volunteering opportunities for current and former service users and customers.

This is a critical role to recruit, select, induct, and train volunteers both on a one-to-one basis and as a group ensuring a high-quality service is delivered to service users. You will be responsible for providing out of hours support to volunteers and acting as a safeguarding lead.

You will collaboratively work with relevant teams to publicise the volunteering programmes to promote the service using appropriate media and communications channels.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in the development, coordination, and delivery of multiple volunteer services.
• Experience of managing volunteers including recruitment, induction, training and development, and service delivery to vulnerable people within their own homes and in the community.
• Previous experience of leading on project development or management of multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders and influence decision making.
