Volunteer Household Support Worker

We need volunteers to do small tasks around the house that our members find difficult to do for themselves. These may include duvet changing, inside window cleaning, hoovering and any small jobs required. All equipment needed to undertake this role will be provided.

There are no formal education requirements for this post, although you must be able to communicate well and have access to your own transport or be able/willing to drive a medium sized van.

The Food Train is an established charity Scottish Charity No. 24843 and this role is based within the Falkirk branch. Role specific tasks include:

· Collecting job sheets from the office

· Completing small household tasks for members in their own homes (no personal care or any activity that would require a skilled tradesperson)

· To inform Food Train Staff of any concerns, accidents, incidents or complaints

· To maintain confidentiality

· To represent Food Train in a professional manner to customers and the wider community

Please note that this is a volunteer role so is not a formally paid post, however, volunteer expenses can be reimbursed.

Job Types: Part-time, Volunteer

Expected hours: No less than 2 per week
