Our client, a leading corporate bank specialising in the energy and natural resources, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join their team as a Senior Vice President or Director for their Corporate Banking division. This role specifically focuses on the renewable energy sector, a pivotal area for growth and sustainability in the evolving financial landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Corporate Banking team focused on the renewable energy sector, ensuring effective client relationship management and business development strategies.
- Develop and execute innovative financing solutions tailored to the unique needs of clients within the renewable energy industry, including project financing, structured lending, and capital raising.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the renewable energy sector, including developers, investors, industry associations, and governmental agencies.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments impacting the renewable energy sector, providing strategic insights and recommendations to drive business growth.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including risk management, legal, and compliance, to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and mitigate risks associated with lending activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Extensive experience (ideally 10+ years) in Corporate Banking, with a focus on structuring and lending within the renewable energy sector.
- Proven track record of successfully structuring and executing complex financing transactions in the renewable energy industry, including project finance, asset-backed lending, and syndicated loans.
- Strong understanding of financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and regulatory compliance within the banking sector.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve strategic objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, senior executives, and internal stakeholders.
