Hays Recruitment are proud to be working in partnership with a newly opened EBD service in Wallasey as they require motivated and reliable Waking Night Support Workers for long-term temporary contracts. This is a 3 bedroom EBD service that supports two young people with complex emotional and behavioural disorders and trauma with a 3 on 3 of working pattern and hours consisting of 9pm - 7am.
Your new role
As a Waking Night Support Worker in this service, you will be supporting by an additional Waking Night team member and sleep in staff. You will be supporting two young people aged 9 and 10 with complex EBD and trauma. You will work with the young people to build strong constructive relationships and building a nightly routine. Other duties may include, but won\'t be limited to, emotional support, behavioural support, routine observations throughout the night, and due diligence.
What you\'ll need to succeed
In order to be successful with your application, you need full "Right to Work" in the UK as well as a minimum of 6 months referenceable UK-based experience supporting children and young people in a residential setting in the last 2 years, as well as:
- Previous experience supporting challenging behaviours, EBD and/or trauma
- An NVQ Level 2 qualification is advantageous but not essential
- A full DBS on the update service is advantageous but not essential
