Job description

We're looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team in London as part of our Marketing function.
Your team: You will be joining the Experience team, reporting to the Senior Designer, with a brief to drive high quality design standards across all our branded collateral.
Your Role: You will work on creative projects from brief to delivery including the production of printed and digital branded collateral and ensure our brand guidelines are followed. Collaboration is key and you will need to work across WARC and the wider Ascential Business Units. There may be times when you will work with external designers and agencies
You will be a real team player, who can demonstrate creative thinking and be confident in your abilities to deliver with impact in an international organisation, with people from different cultural backgrounds. Time management skills and a proactive attitude are as important as creativity and the technical skills that are required for this role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Create local/global collateral under the creative guidance of the manager and senior members of WARC and Lions division.
  • Own project briefs from start to completion. Designs and tests work to make sure each project brief is completed in full, on time and in line with company standards and brand guidelines.
  • Liaise and collaborate with relevant business partners to produce assets. Follow-up with questions, updates and edits as needed.
  • Stay up to date on design best practices and innovation and actively share with others to improve know-how and design capability across the business.
  • Self-directed and work independently to lead a creative project or collaborate with fellow brands and Business Unit (where relevant) Designers.
  • While working on a project, continually share progress with the Senior Designer and other stakeholders to get feedback for improvement. Collaborate with external creative agencies or designers who are selected to work on projects with us.
  • Offer insight and constructive feedback to other members of the Creative Studio to help expand and refine work.
  • Design digital and print materials for a variety of projects, including social campaigns, events, branded collateral, and more.
  • Play an active role in participating and sharing design best practices with the wider Ascential Design Community
  • Be an advocate and ally for diversity, equity and inclusion
Your Experience
  • You should be an excellent communicator, someone who collaborates well to complete projects on brief and on time.
  • Stay up to date on upcoming trends, advancements and technologies in the design field.
  • Must have strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Skills in After Effects or moving images are desirable
  • Skills in typography, colour, print and web layout are essential requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills required; must be able to handle multiple projects and produce a high volume of quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Must be self-motivated to own creative projects.
  • A team player, comfortable with following directions and receiving feedback as required.
  • Strong problem-solving skills are highly essential.
  • Willing to work in flexible hours in different time zones from time to time if needed
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a design role. Relevant experience working in a team-based environment is ideal
  • Ideally experience and knowledge in data visualization, illustrations, photography and/ or animations (Experience in motion graphics preferred.)
  • Experience using platform like Figma, Monday.com, Infogram, and/ or Marketo would be advantageous, but not essential.
