You will manage and directthe delivery of clinical services within a ward orunit, ensuring it complies with statutory regulations, currentlegislation, and operational policies and meets quality standards.

Yourresponsibilities willinclude:

Co-ordinating the quality and managementof nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment with 24hour responsibility for staffing.

Participating fullywith the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care.

To promote and safeguard the well-being and interests ofall patients, employees and visitors.

Alerts others to theneed to improve quality. Ensures others maintain professionalregistration

Identify and evaluate potentialimprovements to the service

Support and work withothers to help them understand the need for change and to adapt toit

Evaluate the extent to which legislation and organisationalpolicies and procedures on health, safety and risk management havebeen implemented and ensures compliance across theservice

Investigate any actual or potentialhealth, safety or security incidents and takes the requiredaction

To besuccessful, you will need:

• A relevant nursingqualification and registration
• A positive attitude andbe naturally caring and compassionate
• A commitment tohigh-quality care and to values and evidence-basedpractice
• Relevant experience in a similarenvironment.
• Proven track record of leadershipskills.
