Job description

LFUK are looking for an experienced Warehouse Administrator to join their clients team in the Speke area.

The role consists of supporting the Logistics Managing Director. You will provide comprehensive support in day-to-day processing of sales orders for the logistics operations. The role is varied and has scope to extend beyond the initial duties. You will be working closely with the logistics team in developing a core understanding of the operations process. You will be a self-motivated individual with a strong logistics background.

Monday To Friday 08:45 - 17:00

£23,000 PA

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create picks for daily workloads across various accounts.
  • Processing orders for the logisitcs operations and generating picking notes and completing orders
  • Build BOMs and generate Works Orders
  • Managing consignment stock
  • Create daily files for all transport movements
  • Produce daily/weekly reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled.
  • Answer queries from customers regarding their accounts and communicate with customer via emails and phone
  • Process all sales accurately in line with required service level and correct mode of transport.
  • Do any required stock enquiries for warehouse.
  • Be able to control weekly cycle counts, do relevant stock adjustments and report back to customer. Building a good rapport with customers.
  • Create all HAWB’S for all domestic/express movements.
  • Overseeing paper and paperless filing and archiving for the office and maintaining local records alongside managing and undertaking day to day admin and secretarial tasks for the office and warehouse floor
  • To resolve queries in a professional and efficient way within the same working day
  • To ensure all administration is clear, correct and in line with procedures and agreed working practices
  • To demonstrate best practice in effective time management
  • To challenge existing ways of working to ensure they evolve with the quick and frequent changes
  • Prepare goods received notes ready for the following day
  • Compare the log of all goods received in against that which has been booked onto the system.
  • General day to day data entry on the system.
  • Analysis and creation of spread sheet etc. for stock movements
  • Filing, photo copying and archiving
  • Proactive management of stock records.
  • Oversee and manage warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, building, and stock management
  • Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment and inventory control
  • Coordinate with other departments to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines
  • Train and supervise warehouse staff to ensure efficient and safe work practices
  • Utilize AS400 system or similar inventory management software to track inventory levels and movements
  • Perform regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Manage load/unload processes for incoming/outgoing shipments

Experience:

Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role

Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, including picking, packing, shipping, receiving, building, and stock management

Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks as required

Familiarity with AS400 or similar inventory management systems

Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues is a plus

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Strong leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and guide a team
