The company
A family run medium business that has been running for over 30 years who manufacture for the foodservice sector. With their own fleet of vehicles and a growing business, they are looking to bring in a Warehouse & Logistics Operations Manager.
What will you do?
- Responsibility for the warehouse that is separated into 4 sections: Good in, packing, goods out & raw material
- Control of the inventory management
- Ensure productivity targets are hit, running 200 product SKU’s
- Run day to day logistics which consists of 4 lorries, 2 vans and a pool car
- First point of contact for engineers and ensure that all equipment breakdown needs are attended to
- Develop a culture of continuous improvement on quality and service
- Responsible for ensuring all transport operating licence needs are correctly administered
- Organise external service contractors for maintenance of machines on site
What do you need?
- Experience with inventory management
- Proven management experience within Warehouse and Logistics
- An understanding of transport regulations and legislations
- Previously worked in a SME
- Ideally experience in the food industry
- Experience of VOSA / DVSA is desirable
What’s on offer
- Up to £50,000 annual salary
- Monday - Friday
- 7.30am - 4.30pm, must be flexible
