We require a Warehouse and Stores Assistant to join our Head Office and Stores team in Alton working as part of our busy team of 2 within the logistics department as part of our wider Head Office. The role would suit either candidates who have recently left College and are seeking their first full time role or those candidates with some previous warehouse, stock or stores experience gained within retail, hospitality, warehouse or production now seeking a role with a successful local employer. We are a leading manufacturing organisation and can offer a friendly working environment and the opportunity to work as part of a busy and professional team. The Warehouse and Stores Assistant role will be working Mon to Fri with an early finish on a Friday. We are seeking candidates available asap and can offer on site parking and the chance to join our well respected organisation.
The role responsibilities include the Below:-
- Receiving of incoming goods and picking and packing orders.
- Receiving & checking incoming goods and stock
- Picking and packing orders ready for despatch
- Preparation of outgoing work and goods
- Preparation of customer orders
- Updating the database
- Maintaining good warehouse/stock practices
- Assisting the service department with basic service repair tasks
To be successful you should have a good work ethic and be keen to learn. Any previous work experience dealing with stock, goods in/out, picking and packing or similar would be an advantage but is not essential as we will provide full training. You should be PC literate and happy to speak to customers and couriers who visit the site.
