Warehouse Inbound Team Leader

AMJ Recruitment are recruiting for one of our prestigious Distribution Clients based in Coventry, for a Warehouse Inbound Team Leader to join their growing team.

Term - Permanent

Salary - £26000 to £28000 per annum

Working Hours - Days (Monday to Friday)

Start Date - ASAP

This position would suit someone who is used to fast paced manual container unloading with either Team Leader experience or looking to step up to this position for the first time.

Duties Include:

• Supervise a team for manual unloading of containers.

• Arrange warehouse space and prepare areas to receive containers

• Ensure receipts are accurate and any discrepancies reported to stock team.

• Manage core team plus temp staff depending on volumes

• Identify best areas to store products that are similar to avoid misspicks.

• Work with management team and agree best layout of the warehouse.

• Deal with any staff issues regards timekeeping, productivity, holiday planning etc.

• Planning container schedules ensuring efficient and timely unloading.

• Must be ‘hands on’ and lead by example.

The successful candidate will need:

- Team Leader Experience

- Prior Experience Managing a container team

- A positive ‘can do’ enthusiastic attitude towards addressing issues and challenges and able to lead by example

- Conscientious and able to work without cutting corners

- Able to understand the impact of decisions in regards to balancing different requirements to ensure we achieve high efficiencies and excellent customer service

- Strong communication skills

- Experience within the commercial product ranges

- Proven to be very reliable in the past with excellent time keeping

- Is able to work overtime at sometimes short notice when there is risk to customer service
