This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving manufacturing business based in Blackpool, Lancashire. The site is investing heavily in new plant, machinery and people and are looking to attract an experienced Warehouse Manager who will continue to support this growth.
The Operations Manager wants to bring into the team a Warehouse Manager who enjoys managing teams and identifying ways to make things better.
A key focus will be to engage and develop a warehouse team and be the warehouse expert through improvement projects for this busy receipt, pick and pack operation.
Responsibilities as Warehouse Manager will be to: -
- Lead and mentor a warehouse team of 20, providing guidance, training and performance feedback.
- Review the current warehouse layout and 3rd party storage to then optimise efficiencies across inventory management, order fulfilment and on time delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including purchasing, planning and production to streamline processes to enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement best practice to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee the implementation of warehouse management systems and technologies to automate processes and improve accuracy.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality and operational excellence.
The successful Warehouse Manager will: -
- Have gained their experience working within a fast-paced warehousing environment.
- Be a manager who will be an accessible and visible presence onsite.
- Have the ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that enhance efficiencies.
- Implement improvement initiatives.
- Be a customer focused team player.
On offer: -
- A salary of circa 53,000
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 33 with service.
- 8% Pension scheme.
- Working days are Monday to Friday.
