Duties and responsibilities:
-Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. Implement and maintain inventory control systems to track and manage stock levels.
-Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and minimise discrepancies.
-Coordinate and optimise the movement of goods within the warehouse.
-Plan and organise shipments, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to customers.
-Set performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews.
-Foster a positive working environment and promote teamwork.
-Implement and enforce safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
-Utilise technology to track inventory, monitor performance, and streamline processes.
-Monitor and control operational costs, including labour, equipment, and overhead expenses.
-Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
-Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
-Address customer inquiries and concerns related to warehouse operations.
-Maintain open communication with other departments, suppliers, and customers.
-Provide regular reports on warehouse performance to senior management.
