Warehouse Operative

What you’ll be doing…
This is a varied and very active role. Veg will arrive at goods in and once it has been booked in will get stored in the right fridge. We also receive a number of chilled products that need to be correctly stored. Your job is to move these products to wherever they are needed in the business. Whether its delivering carrots to go in a veg box or butter to go in a recipe box. You need to make sure that all our teams have what they need to keep production running smoothly.
We keep track of our stock with an electronic system so you will be responsible for making sure that we are always up to date with what has been moved where. You will get full training on this as well as for the electric pallet trucks we use to move stock around.
You’ll need good communication skills to not only keep everyone in your team updated on any issues but also to build good relationships with the other teams around production.
This is a permanent contract, 39 hours per week, working Sunday to Thursday. Working hours are Sunday 2pm to 10:30pm.
£11.82 per hour + shift premium (58p per hour)
Skills and experience...
Ideally you will have some knowledge of food/fresh produce or demonstrate a willingness to develop your knowledge further.
Experience of working within a production, warehouse or manufacturing environment would be preferred.
Able to demonstrate strong communication skills.
