Warehouse/ Finishing Labour Operative
Working Hours: 07:00 – 17:15 Monday – Thursday to include 1x 30 mins unpaid break, and 2x 10 min paid breaks.
Salary: £10.92 per hour
The Position (Warehouse/ Finishing Labour Operative)
We are looking for a Finishing Labour Operative to join our busy manufacturing site in Derby. Reporting to the Operations Manager / Process Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for helping the Finishing Departments run efficiently by ensuring they are fed with the correct work. Specifically, you will be responsible for:
• Moving material between departments to ensure the smooth running of the manufacturing process.
• General packing duties, including boxes and pallets as required.
• Effective and safe storage of product.
• Accurate and timely issuing of raw materials.
• Stock taking.
The person Full training will be given in this role, so no specific knowledge is required, however, our ideal candidate will:
• Previous experience in a busy manufacturing environment.
• A high level of physical fitness.
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• The ability to provide and follow clear and concise communications either verbally or written.
• Flexibility in terms of duties.
This position will require daily manual handling of boxes weighing up to 25KGS and pallets of varying weights, please ensure this is considered before sending your application.
