We are currently searching for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to join our Primark warehouse and logistics team at our site in Lutterworth. You’ll manage operational activities to achieve daily objectives and customer targets by overseeing the workflow throughout the Warehouse by target and objective setting for Team Leaders and Warehouse Colleagues.
This is a full-time permanent role, working 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering 06:00 – 18:00 hours.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
Ensure the effective flow of goods into, through and out of the warehouse by monitoring the operational team performance of the on duty shift through their Team LeadersEnsure regular team reviews and on the job status updates are conducted with the shifts first line managers and team-leaders is completed to ensure they understand the previous 24 hours performance achieved and the coming 24 hours targets
Conduct regular coaching and feedback sessions for immediate reports and to undertake appraisals with immediate reports using the Company PDR documents
Address performance management issues, by having a full understanding of the Company’s disciplinary and grievance procedure
What you need to succeed at GXO:
Knowledge of the end-to-end warehouse processes and health and safetyExperience working in a complex, fast-moving logistics/warehouse environment
The ability to work on your own initiative, whilst effectively leading a team
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
