Warehouse Stock Analyst

My client, a growing distribution company based in Andover are looking to recruit a Warehouse Stock Analyst on permanent basis. 

The ideal candidate must have experience working within a warehouse / distribution environment. You will be data-driven who can analyse historical reports or/and forecast to improve product slotting or placement. You will need to be able to create heat maps that detect inefficiencies and thus eliminate bottlenecks.

Key Responsibilities of Warehouse Stock Analyst

• Analysing product run rate on a daily/weekly basis to identify fast/slow/non-moving products
• Managing putaway strategies to direct new products coming in to relevant slots and type of storage
• Updating product pickfaces to make picking efficient
• Monitoring and updating PMD within the WMS where not captured or captured incorrectly
• Analyzing and updating warehouse storage location data for putaway logic
• Working closely with Despatch and Goods In to maintain efficient putaways and make sure product is available for picking
• Setting up new picking/storage areas in the warehouse
• Looking at stock positioning in the warehouse to remove bottlenecks

Key Skills of Warehouse Stock Analyst

• Data-driven analyst to ensure inventory is available and optimally positioned ready for picking
• Very good MS Excel skills to be able to manipulate data and create range of reports
• Very good understanding of Warehouse Management Systems
• Good communication both verbal and written
• Team player with ability to manage and delegate to others and take on responsibility
• Ability to take a logical and analytical approach to solving problems and resolving issues
• Able to prioritise, work efficiently and productively managing time well
• Ability to work under pressure
