The Warehouse Supervisor will oversee and optimise all areas of warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow, accuracy in processing and stock management, and the adherence to health and safety.
They will be responsible for leading and motivating a team, maintaining high standards to meet customer needs effectively ensuring that service is never compromised.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage warehouse operations effectively.
- Ensure colleagues perform at high standards, achieving quality output, coaching, and mentoring the team to enhance their performance.
- Handle holiday and absence management for direct reports.
- Coordinate loading operations efficiently.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement among warehouse team.
- Monitor and analyse team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Oversee order picking and preparation for dispatch.
- Supervise vehicle loading and unloading activities.
- Plan and coordinate day-to-day warehouse operations.
- Liaise with internal departments to address customer queries promptly.
- Maintain service standards and improve work processes continually.
- Provide support for goods-in operations.
- Adhere to Company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse , to facilitate smooth operation.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as required.
About you:
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication to liaise with internal and external partners.
- Ability to identify and address issues promptly to ensure smooth operations.
- Attention to detail to ensure excellent accuracy in stock control and order processing.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) for stock control and management.
