Streanline are recruiting on behalf of a 3PL logistics client based in Tilbury for a full time Warehouse Supervisor
Hours of work are
Warehouse is open from 06.00 till 20:00 and work 2 shifts on a rota system, it would also be working 5 days out of 7 on a rota so will involve working weekends to cover the clients requirements
TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain the level of service and quality of work expected from the client and ensure the shipping deadlines are met.
Strong understanding of warehousing operations, inventory control and best practices.
Lead and manage daily warehouse activities Match/allocate resources vs workload.
Planning shifts and correct profiles to allow smooth execution of the different flows (Reception, Order fulfilment, Client returns, reverses)
Drive and share your vision of leadership with the Team Leaders
Make sure the operational team have sufficient knowledge and own all aspects of training when required.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs).
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and legal requirements.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
Relationship management and contract compliance: Develop and maintain a productive and collaborative relationship with the on-site customer.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHERS (KSAOS)
Proven experience in logistic operations, including order fulfilment, warehousing, and inventory management.
Good knowledge of the Warehouse Management System INFOLOG and EXCEL
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
Ability to “read” the floor and anticipate any potential operations bottleneck
Analytical mindset and proficiency in using data-driven approaches to drive operational improvements.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations.
Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve operational excellence.
Ability to work in partnership with the customer day to day
Drive implementation of standards and follow-up on implemented action plans
Project management on new services, technical development, or transport plan enhancement
Agility and capacity to integrate ad hoc requests in the daily planning
Ability to prioritize tasks and allocation of resources towards agreed deadlines
