Savona services 20 counties across the South East, South West and Central England, delivering in our fleet of 50+ multi-temperature vehicles to the hospitality, education, care, contract catering and leisure sectors. The Role
The purpose of this key role in the business is to support the running of an efficient warehousing operation (nights), providing a good customer experience, which differentiates us from the competition.
Job Responsibilities
You will be responsible for supporting the Night Shift Manager in the effective running of the Night Shift Team and Warehouse responsibilities.

General Accountability
- Execute any additional task as required to meet objectives
- You will ensure that the warehouse operates safely & legally, offers the highest level of service available to our customers within the agreed and/or budgetary parameters.
- Fair delegation of workload to assist the team fulfil the purpose of their roles, ensuring that Savona Foodservice is a great place to work.
- Effective and regular communication with warehouse team ensuring the team work to efficiently provide excellent customer service.
- Ensure warehouse compliance with all Health & Safety and Food legislation
- To ensure that the shift runs in accordance with company policies and procedures as laid down in the HACCP manual and employers handbook.
- To ensure that all goods are received, stored, checked, and picked with the minimum of cost and the maximum of effectiveness.
- To ensure that all food, employment, and H&S legislation is understood by all staff under their supervision.
- To uphold, encourage, and promote the use of Savona’s work ethics including leading by example
- To continually look for ways to improve current practices and develop better practices
