A family-run SME business in Leeds is looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader on a permanent basis to start ASAP. This is an exciting business to join, they are well established and business is going well.
The Warehouse Team Leader will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective running of all aspects of our warehouse, whilst managing the warehouse staff and working towards daily targets.
The main duties of the role will include:
- Co-ordinating a team of Warehouse Operatives to accomplish the daily and weekly processing, picking, packing, and the dispatch of orders, and ensure operational KPIs are met and exceeded.
- To reconcile stock levels within the warehouse against delivery and pick of each item.
- Manage the delivery of accurate and timely dispatch of orders to our customers.
- Assist the site management to comply with Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, completing documentation and records as required.
- Inventory control and management of stock movements, part reconciliation, logical & physical auditing
- Organising and maintaining a lean, clean, efficient warehouse; ensuring equipment, layout and working environment are serviced and maintained in a safe condition.
- Training for new staff on the WMS to ensure process and procedures are followed.
- To ensure all stock is located correctly in pick bays and storage locations.
- To maintain communication with shift hand overs to cover any issues or concerns that need to be raised.
- Motivating the workforce by demonstrating effective leadership, teamwork, communication, and employee motivation
- Manage the workload to agreed Department SLA'S.
- To provide performance and stats reports as and when required.
- Supporting the management team with any Ad hoc projects
- Maintaining good communication within the warehouse and other departments
- Attend training and any other work-related courses as requested by the company.
- To make sure all picks are completed, and QC checks have been done, and correct paperwork is applied to pallets or parcels for despatch.
The ideal candidate for this role will ideally have worked in a similar role for around 2 years - allowing experience to be brought to the role.
you must have the ability to work in a fast environment and as part of a team to get a job done.
They are offering a salary of 25 - 27k per annum plus benefits, including dentist allowance, vouchers, pension and cycle to work.
The role will be based on two shift patterns which follow alternate weeks: 10 - 6 or 12 - 8
