Job Title: Goods in Team Leader ( Supervisory role)

Mission: To organize the Goods IN flows with the suppliers and lead the Team, manage staff and resources to constantly improve the outcome and to provide proactive, constructive and customer focussed service. To ensure that all agreed targets and deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of materials management.
This role is permanent and although the role is varied, you will be expected to carry out the following duties: Oversee the goods-in process, including receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments. Ensure accurate and timely recording of all goods received into the warehouse management system (WMS).
Key responsibilities:
The post holder will be responsible for supervising the goods receipt to ensure continuous supply of goods to the manufacturing plant in line with the materials control system. This will include good receipting tasks as well as coordination with other Supply Chain units
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the team of up to 20 people , including temporary workforce and provide support to Warehouse manager as directed by Supply Chain Manager This will also include staff management such as appraisals, managing leave and sickness as necessary, and may also assist in disciplinary process, where required. Role holder will be accountable to ensure there is no disruption to Goods INwards operations due to manpower.
The post holder will ensure that the business needs and targets are met on a daily basis. This includes ensuring that materials received are not damaged, and that everything ordered is present and accounted for. The role will include all reporting, investigating discrepancies, non–conformity issues as well as having a clear understanding of safety and security procedures. The role holder will be working with warehouse, purchasing, production and dispatch to ensure all necessary functions are carried out:
- Receiving stock for storing in correct location (physically). Manage all Goods INwards activities and processes including returns. Carry out inspection of goods received – checking for damage to, quantity of and quality of items received. Supervise vehicles loading , off-loading transportation of materials by 3pl .
- Receiving stock into SAP, with high data accuracy; administer all paperwork and delivery notes according to company procedures, report anu short deliveries to the supply chain MRP controller and warehouse manager
- Issue stock to production (fast track) if required and update the system accordingly
- Assisting with stock count and inventory management queries
- Ensuring Health and Safety and Security procedures are followed, and information correctly recorded
- Always maintain housekeeping standards, ensuring a clean and safe working environment
- To work continuously on policies & procedures of the Department improving and developing
- To be able to extract and analyse reports on activity within materials management and Goods INward using various system be aware of the and advise requisitioners of the purchase orders status analysing the data provided.
Requirements
- You will have experience in a similar Warehouse & Supply Chain role utilizing SAP or similar ERP system & advanced excel, technical background preferred
- Supervisory experience
