Job description

This role holds responsibility for the day-to-day running of specific sections within the warehouse. We are In this position you will retain control and visibility of the workload of the team and manage the headcount and key daily tasks accordingly. You will ensure training and upskilling is completed throughout the year and coaching / mentoring is conducted as needed. You will be responsible for ensuring all tasks are completed fully and accurately within your area of responsibility. You will also support the Warehouse Manager and Operations Manager to ensure all key internal and external stakeholders are receiving the best service levels and all SLAs and KPIs are being hit.
This role is based in our Newark Head Office.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

- Assess daily work expectations and confirm ability to achieve
- Monitor SLAs and proactively adjust the strategy to ensure volumes are achieved
- Support Promote a positive working environment and a culture of development and improvement with pre-shift briefings supported by up-to-date KPI display and dialogue.
- Report on key activity and any warehouse issues so matters can be resolved swiftly
- Manage both internal and external customer expectations
- Enforce Health and Safety across the site
- Review performance and support the Management team with any underperformance through determining the best form of intervention
- Deal with daily challenges and support the team to achieve targets

Desired Knowledge Skills & Experience

- At least 3 years experience in a Team Manager / Leader Warehouse role with a team of 6+ people
- Experience with excel and managing workloads based on reporting
- Demonstratable experience in driving continuous improvement within a manual warehouse
- Positive, Pro Active approach to challenges
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to problem solve and challenge decisions to ensure efficiency and top quality service.
- A proven track record of people management and delivering targets and SLA’s
- Exceptional work ethic and team spirit
- Overtime (including weekends) would be required during key periods
- Flexible, able to adapt quickly to an ever-growing constantly changing environment.
