The Waste & Service Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordination of support services to the business Production departments. This position requires the possession of or working towards the relevant WAMITAB and environmental qualifications.

Waste & Service Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Have a leading role in directing and controlling the processing of wastes and manage the operations of the licensed waste disposal facilities
- Assist in managing waste contracts with external suppliers and Contracting companies on behalf of the business and provide commercial expertise to ensure all waste disposals conform to current legislation and are best available practice and at least cost
- Provide technical advice on Waste Management to ensure compliance with legislation, including Duty of care, TFS, PRN compliance and environmental permitting to the business work force
- Assist the Waste & Service Pool team leaders in planning and managing activities for the work force, including industrial cleaning and waste processing activities
- Ensure the site complies with statutory Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
- Engage with Production areas; develop Service Level agreements and measures of customer satisfaction and service delivery
- Take a leading role in the implementation of Waste Services policy and the development of waste processing plant, facilities, and services, and must be familiar with industry best practices, new equipment, systems and technologies through close contact with suppliers, manufacturers and the study of technical literature, manuals and specific training courses
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm
Required Skills & Experience:
- Possess or be capable of attaining a WAMITAB Level 4 Certificate in Waste and Resource Management
- Knowledge of Environment legislation is needed, particularly around waste management and disposal with an ability to implement the requirements as part of departmental operations and comply with the site ISO14001 accreditation conditions
- Knowledge of site services and or production operations with a supervisory or planning background would also be beneficial
