Skills and experience needed to be a Water Hygiene Plumber:
- Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Plumber specialising in Water Hygiene.
- NVQ Level 2 qualification in Plumbing.
- Proficient in ACOP L8 regulations and remedial plumbing.
- Thorough understanding of water treatment and Water Hygiene.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capable of working effectively alone or with a team.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage workloads effectively.
- Flexibility for regional travel and overnight stays as required.
Key responsibilities as a Water Hygiene Plumber:
- Carrying out closed system analytical testing and remediation, adhering to ACOP L8 guidelines.
- Removing dead legs.
- Installing and inspecting tanks.
- Conducting water sampling.
- Administering chemical disinfection for buildings.
- Performing calorifier pasteurisation.
- Cleaning and chlorinating water storage tanks and cooling towers.
