Are you a Website whizz?  Do you have a strong technical background with a great attention to detail?  If so,  this could be the perfect role for you!

Our prestigious client in Wokingham, Berkshire is looking for a fabulous  Website Administrator to join their dynamic IT and Ecommerce team.  You will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of their online store.  Your primary focus will be to ensure that the websites are user friendly, up to date and optimised to enhance the overall shopping experience for their customers.  You will be responsible for liaising with internal departments to deliver new content and features along with troubleshooting any bugs. This is a mid level role for a person with a technical background who has previously similar experience

This is a hybrid role following successful passing of probation working 10-6 or 9-5 or 8-4 Monday to Friday. The salary for this exciting Ecommerce Website Administrator role is up to £38,000 depending on experience.

Main responsibilities for this Website Administrator role in Wokingham, Berkshire

  • Create, edit, and optimize website content, including landing pages, hero pages, images, videos, blog posts, forms and website hierarchy.
  • Ensure that all content is engaging, SEO-friendly, and aligned with the brand’s voice and guidelines.
  • Continuously monitor the website’s usability, navigation, and overall performance to enhance user experience.
  • Identify and resolve user experience issues and optimize the website for mobile devices.
  • Analyse data and generate reports to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect customer data and prevent fraudulent activities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and external agencies to implement SEO strategies and improve the website’s search engine rankings.
  • Conduct A/B testing for various website elements to improve conversion rates.
  • Set standards, systems, best practices and company procedures for new product listings, content creation, distribution, and maintenance in conjunction and with support from all relevant stakeholders.
  • Oversee the testing of new website functionality, delegating test journeys to relevant departments.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support promotional activities and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Technical Troubleshooting.
  • Platform Updates and Integrations.

Skills required for this Website Administrator role:
