Job description

The Role:

This is a hybrid part time role based out of our Aldershot office. The hours will be 30 hours per week spread over 5 days. There is flexibility in how these hours can be worked but you will need to be in the office every Monday and Friday.

Boomerang Family Ltd trading as Let’s Go with the Children (www.letsgowiththechildren.co.uk) is a fast growing consumer targeted free-to-use listing website providing information and ideas for families with young children on what to do and where to go in the UK. It is an advertising funded business. It currently attracts over 35k weekly users/unique visitors and scores over 6M page impressions annually.

The business comprises of a small editorial and research team - a remotely based editor and 3 home-based researchers and an office media sales team and manager.

This is a hands-on role that encompasses a range of administrative, digital marketing and writing & journalistic skills.

The Role encompasses the following responsibilities:

Editorial & Website Management

  • A working knowledge of WordPress
  • Bi-weekly newsletter articles
  • Creating and publishing articles
  • Amendments to content or listings on the website where necessary
  • Create competitions, vouchers & events for advertisers
  • Close competitions, sending out winners’ emails and coordinating prizes
  • Maintain attraction listings
  • Keep website advertising up to date and refresh on a monthly basis
  • Add regular events and keep main attractions up to date.
  • Liaise with external website developers to monitor ongoing website maintenance improvements and tasks.
  • Sourcing safe images to use across all editorial content.

Digital Marketing

  • SEO
  • Develop marketing plan with sales manager.
  • Work with sales to create regular B2B & B2C email marketing campaigns. Confident use of CRM systems (ideally Microsoft Dynamics, Dotdigital & Constant Contact)
  • Creation of Google Ads campaigns throughout the year, including setting and monitoring budget
  • Media pack creation
  • Weekly reports, containing stats updates from Google Analytics
  • Co-ordinate large-scale marketing projects e.g. Christmas Campaign, Easter Campaign etc
  • Regular social media posts across Facebook, Instagram & Twitter (X)

Skills Required

  • Use Paint Shop Pro/Canva
  • Experience on Dotdigital, Google Ads, Google Analytics, Mail Munch, Constant Contact, Meta Ads & Canva
